DomainJava .COM – PIndonesian National Team football coach Shin Tae Yong gave a sweet message to welcome the new year 2025 via his social media account.
Coach Shin Tae-yong scored various extraordinary achievements throughout 2024.
One impressive achievement was the Indonesian national team’s first success in advancing to the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifications.
By the end of the year, Indonesia was in third place in Group C with six points from six matches—the result of three draws and a 2-0 win over Saudi Arabia at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on 19 November.

The Garuda team is 10 points behind unbeaten Japan, and only one point behind Australia.
Welcoming 2025, Shin Tae-yong expressed his hope that Indonesia can qualify for the 2026 World Cup which will take place in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
“We ask for full support so that Indonesia can qualify for the World Cup,” wrote Shin via his official Instagram account, Wednesday (1/1/2025).
With four matches remaining, Indonesia still has a big chance to continue its progress in the third round.
They will face Australia and Bahrain in March, and China and Japan in June. Shin targets his team to finish in third or fourth position to get a ticket through the fourth round.
In fact, Indonesia’s opportunity to qualify directly by being in the top two positions remains open.
Apart from that, Shin also expressed other hopes for 2025, namely health, happiness and success for all parties.
