DomainJava .COM – PSSI officially announced the dismissal of Shin Tae-yong as coach of the Indonesian National Team at a press conference on January 6 2025.

This decision surprised the public, especially because the national team is still struggling in the 2026 World Cup Qualification with four important matches remaining against Australia, Bahrain, China and Japan.

Nova Arianto, an assistant coach who worked with Shin Tae-yong for almost five years, expressed his respect and thanks through an emotional message on social media. He appreciated Shin’s contribution in bringing big changes to Indonesian football, both in terms of play, discipline and development of young players.

“I can only say thank you very much to the coach for giving color and a good story to Indonesian football. We are certainly lucky that with the coach’s presence in the National Team for almost 5 years, we can see that the National Team is now at a different level and at least we know what “This is the only thing that has been lacking in the National Team players so far and it is our responsibility to fix it,” said Nova on his Instagram account.

“Thank you, Coach, for always providing input and support to me and I convey from the bottom of my heart my deepest apologies if during my time with Coach Shin and the coaching staff, any of my actions were wrong or were not pleasing to Coach Shin and the other coaching staff. .”

At the end of his message, Nova wished Shin success in the future and hoped that their relationship would remain harmonious as part of the big Indonesian football family.

“Success wherever you are, coach @shintaeyong7777 and the coaching staff will all remain a big family of Indonesian Football and we hope that we can meet again on another occasion to see Indonesian football achieve more in the future,” concluded Nova.
