Shin Tae-yong officially ended his term of office following the announcement made by the General Chair of PSSI, Erick Thohir, at a press conference in Jakarta on Monday (6/1/2025).
Via Instagram Story, El Rumi, Syifa Hadju’s lover and son of musician Ahmad Dhani, expressed his gratitude for Shin Tae-yong’s dedication so far.
He praised the progress of the Indonesian National Team’s playing style under the leadership of the South Korean coach. El Rumi also expressed his best wishes for Shin Tae-yong’s future.

“Wishing you all the best in the future, Coach @shintaeyong7777,” wrote El Rumi on his personal Instagram yesterday, Monday (6/1/2025).
“Thank you for transforming the Indonesian National Team’s game from being very uninteresting and boring to being very, very interesting and fun to watch,” continued El Rumi.
Feeling disappointed that Shin Tae Yong was fired, El Rumi said this was a very controversial decision. However, this 25 year old drummer does not want to judge this decision.
“It’s a very controversial decision, but I’m sure PSSI has thought it through carefully,” said El Rumi.
“I don’t want to judge this decision. “But let’s see in the next 2-3 months, whether this is the right decision or not,” he said again.
Al Ghazali’s younger brother also highlighted the issue of replacing Shin Tae Yong. It is known that Patrick Kluivert is excited about being mentioned as a candidate to fill the seat of coach of the Indonesian national team.
“Actually, changing coaches is not a problem, but the replacement has a good track record,” said El Rumi.
PSSI’s decision to end cooperation with Shin Tae-yong as coach of the Indonesian National Team drew reactions from a number of celebrities.
Many artists expressed their disappointment and sadness on social media. Tantri Syalindri from the band Kotak felt his mood immediately darkened when he heard the news, while Darius Sinathrya considered this decision to be high risk.
Donna Agnesia is also sad because she considers Shin Tae-yong to be a history-making figure for the National Team.
