DomainJava .COM – Seru, businessman from the United States, Elon Musk, is reportedly interested in buying the English Premier League football club, Liverpool.
This news was first revealed by Elon Musk's father, Errol Musk, who stated that his son had a strong desire to buy the club.
According to Errol, Elon Musk really wants to buy Liverpool.
“His grandmother is from there. “We have family there, The Beatles grew up with our family,” said Errol Musk via the Premier League Telegram channel.
In that channel, Errol also said that Liverpool's price would likely increase, after Musk expressed his interest in owning Liverpool.
Currently, Liverpool is owned by Fenway Sports Group (FSG), who had purchased the club in 2010. Although FSG have sought external investment in the past, they have not seriously considered a full sale of the club.
According to a Forbes assessment last May, Liverpool is the fourth most valuable club in the world with an estimated value of around £4.3 billion.
However, this amount is only around one percent of Elon Musk's estimated £343 billion net worth, making him a potential candidate to buy the club.
If Elon Musk is really interested, it could be that fans will support him, because so far, fans have often criticized FSG regarding their lack of investment in the squad.
