DomainJava .COM – Inter Milan managed to achieve a 3-0 victory over hosts Cagliari in the Italian League match at the Unipol Domus Stadium, Cagliari, Sunday morning WIB.
This victory took the Nerazzurri to the top of the standings with 40 points, superior on goal difference over Napoli who are in second place with the same points.
Meanwhile, Cagliari, with this defeat, is still trapped in the relegation zone, ranked 18th with only 14 points.
Based on the match recap, Inter Milan immediately showed dominance from the start of the match by launching fast attacks through one or two passes.
However, even though the visitors continued to threaten, Cagliari’s tight and disciplined defense was able to withstand Inter’s attacks until the 25th minute.
Entering the second half, Inter continued to maintain the intensity of their attacks.
In the 53rd minute, Andrea Bastoni opened the scoring for the visitors with a header using a cross from Nicolo Barella.
His header curved to the left side of the goal guarded by Simone Scuffet, and was unable to be reached by the Cagliari goalkeeper.
Cagliari tried to play more defensively after the first goal, occasionally launching counter-attacks, but in the 70th minute Lautaro Martinez doubled Inter’s lead. Martinez headed Barella’s cross without guard, leaving Scuffet helpless.
