DomainJava .COM – Shin Tae-yong’s assistant coach, Jeong Seok-seo, known as Jeje, suddenly shared a video containing emotional sentences via his TikTok account on Sunday (5/1/2025) evening WIB.
Many parties suspect that the upload is related to the situation of Shin Tae-yong, who is said to soon be removed from his position as head coach of the Indonesian National Team.
Even though he did not provide a detailed explanation, the video uploaded by Jeje shows his moments together with the Red and White squad.
As a translator and assistant to Shin Tae-yong, Jeje is expected to be eliminated if the 54 year old coach is actually replaced by someone who is not from South Korea.

In the video, Jeje expresses deep feelings through several statements.
“It turns out that life is more comfortable if we don’t talk a lot,” said Jeje at the beginning of the video, quoted by Suara.com on Monday (6/1/2025).
“No one has to know. What I feel, no one knows how much pain I can endure.”
“No one knows how confused my mind is right now. “I have a lot to hide, so that things can be fine,” he concluded.
Shin Tae-yong was appointed by PSSI as head coach of the Indonesian National Team since the end of 2019 when the reins of leadership were still occupied by Mochamad Iriawan.
STY’s contract was then extended until 2027 in the PSSI era led by Erick Thohir.
However, the issue of dismissal has now emerged after the Indonesian national team failed miserably in the 2024 AFF Cup. Garuda was eliminated in the group phase even though it had a minimum target of qualifying for the semifinals.
Initially, PSSI and Shin Tae-yong agreed that the Indonesian National Team would field the majority of U-22 players in this event as a warm-up and trial for bigger events such as the SEA Games and Asian Cup qualifiers.
However, after the Indonesian National Team failed to reach the semifinals, the dynamics changed. Many parties have criticized Shin Tae-yong, with most recently several PSSI Exco members having expressed their greetings to STY.
One of the PSSI Exco members, Vivin Cahyani, even indicated that PSSI did not rule out the possibility of taking options, one of which was changing the coaching team for the Indonesian National Team.
He said PSSI’s main goal was to bring the Indonesian national team to the World Cup, and was ready to make changes if that was necessary to achieve this big ambition.
“Everything is very dynamic and open to change for the better and nothing is permanent,” said Vivin, quoted from Antara, Sunday (5/1/2025).
“PSSI clearly has a big target towards the World Cup, it needs the support of all parties to transform towards something better from all sides.”
“For this reason, we are open to any options that will enable the Indonesian national team to get closer to its main target, namely entering the World Cup competition,” he added.
Shin Tae Yong Officially Fired
The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) has officially ended its collaboration with Shin Tae-yong as coach of the Indonesian National Team.
This was conveyed by the General Chair of PSSI, Erick Thohir, in a press conference regarding the New Plan for the Development of the Indonesian National Team for 2025 on Monday (6/1/2025).
“Coach Shin Tae-yong has received the correspondence, of course there will be a further process regarding our relationship which has ended,” said Erick.
According to Erick, this decision had been under consideration since before the 2026 World Cup qualifying round in the Asia Zone, when Indonesia suffered defeat to China.
Erick explained that this step was taken for the good of the Indonesian National Team, taking into account game strategy, communication between coaches and players, as well as overall program implementation.
“Better communication and of course better overall program implementation for the national team,” he added.
“And Coach Shin Tae-yong has received the letter,” said Erick.
However, he confirmed that he had the coach’s name.
“We have found the candidate (Shin Tae-yong’s replacement),” he said.
