“Management and players have agreed to end cooperation, we thank you and wish Evan Dimas the best for his career,” he said, quoted from Persik’s official website, Wednesday (1/1/2024).

Rospide added that currently the team is carrying out a comprehensive evaluation to face the second round of League 1.

Although there is no certainty regarding the recruitment of new players, special attention will be given to certain positions, such as right-back.

Aqil Munawar’s injury and Nury Fasya’s performance which has not been optimal due to injury and the accumulation of cards are the main highlights.

Currently, Persik has several player options for the right-back position, such as Vava Mario, Kiko, and Brendon Lucas. The owner of Persik, Arthur Irawan, also emphasized his full trust in the coaches in determining the team composition.

He also highlighted the tight competition in League 1 this season, where all teams have the opportunity to beat each other. However, Persik’s focus remains on improving the team’s performance and achieving better results compared to the previous season.

Evan Dimas’ career

Evan Dimas’ career as a professional footballer shows an interesting journey from the beginning to the present, but there are indications of a decline in performance in recent years.

At the start of his career with Bhayangkara FC (2014–2017), he performed brilliantly by scoring 6 goals in 41 appearances.

His performance then continued at the Malaysian club, Selangor FA, in 2018 with a score of 2 goals in 20 matches.

After returning to Indonesia, he strengthened Barito Putera (2019), Persija Jakarta (2020–2021), and Bhayangkara FC for the second period (2021–2022).

Even though he remains a mainstay player, his goal contribution is starting to decline.

With Arema FC (2022–2024), Evan appeared 36 times but only scored 2 goals, marking a phase of his career where his role was more focused on the midfield as a playmaker rather than a goal scorer.

Evan Dimas is one of the best midfielders Indonesia has ever had, with significant contributions at various levels of the national team.

His international career began when he joined the Indonesian U-16 team in the 2010–2012 period, where he scored 2 goals in 2 appearances. His greatness became increasingly visible when strengthening Indonesia U-19 (2013–2014), with a score of 12 goals in 30 matches, becoming the main attack motor and game organizer.

When he moved up to U-23 level (2015–2019), Evan’s contribution remained consistent by scoring 8 goals in 32 appearances. This shows Evan’s ability to continue to adapt and perform solidly even though he faces greater challenges.

With the Indonesian senior national team (2014–2022), Evan has played 44 times and scored 10 goals.

In the 2023–2024 season, Evan was loaned to PSIS Semarang and managed to contribute 1 goal in 8 appearances.

However, after joining Persik Kediri in 2024, he has not been able to score a goal in a single match played, illustrating the huge challenge he faces to restore his best performance.
