DomainJava .COM – Actor Ibnu Jamil also expressed his opinion regarding PSSI’s decision to fire Shin Tae-yong from the position of coach of the Indonesian National Team.
In an Instagram upload on Monday (6/1/2025), Ibnu admitted that he was not a loyal fan of Shin Tae-yong, but still expressed his appreciation for the great contribution of the coach from South Korea.
Ibnu expressed his gratitude for the dedication of Shin Tae-yong, who succeeded in bringing the Indonesian National Team to the third round of the 2026 World Cup Qualifications in the Asia Zone.
He also praised Shin’s approach in prioritizing young and diaspora players, which he deemed to be in line with the federation’s expectations.

“Sorry, I’m not a true supporter of you, coach,” said Ibnu Jamil, starting his writing.
“There must have been a lot of energy, thought and time that has been put into helping bring Indonesian football this far. “We are at the temporary finishing point, which is getting closer to entering the World Cup,” explained Ibnu Jamil.
“I respect and enjoy all the processes. “One of them is cutting generations, using young players, and a diaspora program that is very realistic and in line with the federation’s high expectations,” continued the actor.
“Now is the time for us to move on, and wait for the next performance from Mr. Erick Thohir and the team. What’s next?” said Ibnu Jamil.
He hopes that PSSI’s decision to change coaches will really focus on the progress of football, without any other interests.
