The PSBS Biak vs Persib match took place at the Lukas Enembe Stadium, Saturday (11/1/2025) at 13.30 WIB. Maung Bandung managed to remain unbeaten until the 18th week of League 1 after holding PSBS Biak to a 1-1 draw at home.

In this match, Maung Bandung lost 4 of their core players, Kevin Ray, Ciro, Beckham and Gustavo Franca were unable to appear.

The Maung Bandung game was a little different from usual because it lost 4 key players. However, Maung Bandung still couldn’t be beaten even when only playing with 10 players after Nick Kuipers received 2 yellow cards in the 52nd minute.

The course of the match.

At the start of the match both teams were still careful in building attacks but both teams traded attacks.

Several times Armando Oropa managed to threaten Teja Paku Alam’s goal, while Persib managed to threaten through Adam Alis’ long-range shot which still hit the goal post.

Then a dangerous chance came from captain Fabiano, he got a golden opportunity to head the ball from a free kick. Unfortunately, his business is still up in the air. The first half ended 0-0.

In the second half, Persib had to play with 10 people, after Nick Kuipers received two consecutive yellow cards. He received a card warning from the referee after committing the violation. However, he reacted by slamming the ball, forcing the referee to issue a second yellow card.

Then after Nick was sent off in the 52nd minute, PSBS Biak was able to score a goal in the 65th minute.

With Alexandro’s header being countered by Teja Paku Alam, Pablo Arganaras, who was standing free, managed to head the ball into the goal.

PSBS Biak appeared to put more pressure on Persib and played half the field to lock up Maung Bandung.

However, after that Persib, which only relied on counter attacks, was awarded a free kick after David da Silva received a hard foul from Fabiano Beltrame at the end of the Maung Bandung penalty box entering the 80th minute.

Beltrame survived the red card and only received a yellow card which drew anger from Hodak on the sidelines. However, from the following free kick Tyronne del Pino came forward to execute the opportunity perfectly.

He fired a beautiful curling shot that nestled into the corner of John Pigai’s goal.
