DomainJava .COM – Patrick Kluivert, the new coach of the Indonesian National Team, is scheduled to arrive in Indonesia on Saturday (11 January 2025) evening.

He will land at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Tangerang, Banten. PSSI General Chair, Erick Thohir, confirmed Kluivert’s arrival and announced that there would be a press conference to introduce the new coach on Sunday (12 January 2025) at 16.00 WIB.

Kluivert Visit Schedule and Agenda

After arriving, Kluivert will undergo a series of important activities.

On Sunday, he will be officially introduced to the public, meet Indonesian national team players, and hold discussions with the PSSI Executive Committee (Exco) and the Minister of Youth and Sports. Apart from that, he will visit various facilities used by the Indonesian National Team for training.

Profile and Interesting Facts of Patrick Kluivert

Patrick Kluivert was announced as coach of the Indonesian National Team on Wednesday (8 January 2025), replacing Shin Tae-yong who was dismissed on Monday (6 January 2025).

The Dutch coach signed a two-year contract with an extension option until 2027.

It is hoped that Kluivert will be able to bring the Indonesian national team to qualify for the 2026 World Cup, considering that Indonesia is currently in third place in the qualifying group, only one point behind Australia.

In his duties, Kluivert will be accompanied by two Dutch assistant coaches, namely Alex Pastoor and Denny Landzaat, as well as two local Indonesian coaches.

Before coaching the Indonesian national team, Kluivert had experience as coach of the Turkiye Adana Demirspor club, the Curaçao national team, and served as director of football at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Kluivert’s appointment is a new step for PSSI to improve national football achievements and achieve big ambitions on the international stage.
