“So I have a lot of respect for that coach.”

He believes that the Indonesian National Team has great potential to compete at the international level, as long as the approach implemented is effective.
Patrick Kluivert’s expression was in the spotlight after being asked about his contract as coach of the Indonesian National Team by the famous presenter, Najwa Shihab.
This moment occurred in an exclusive interview after Kluivert was officially introduced by PSSI as the new coach of the Garuda squad. In the interview, Najwa Shihab, who is 47 years old, asked for details of Kluivert’s contract.
“So you got a two-year contract with the federation (PSSI) until 2027? With an extension option? How much is it worth?” asked Najwa Shihab.
Suddenly, this question made Patrick Kluivert extremely surprised. He even asked Najwa Shihab about this question.
“How much is it worth?” asked Patrick Kluivert with a surprised face. “I don’t think I should talk about the value of the contract,” he answered elegantly.
For Kluivert, the most important aspect of his appointment is not the value of the contract, but the opportunity to train in a big country like Indonesia.
The former coach of the Curacao National Team admitted that he was very enthusiastic about starting his new assignment and wanted to implement his vision in football.
“The most important value for me is coaching a big country like Indonesia. “I’m very excited to show how I see football and apply it,” added Kluivert.
Patrick Kluivert reportedly receives a salary of IDR 1.3-1.5 billion per month as coach of the Indonesian National Team, with a total of around IDR 36 billion over the two years of his contract. This amount is lower than his predecessor, Shin Tae-yong, who is said to have received IDR 1.9 billion per month or IDR 23.6 billion per year.
