DomainJava .COM – Rumors emerged and circulated that the versatile player Rachmat Irianto was dumped by Persib so he would no longer wear the Maung Bandung uniform.
This rumor grew because Irianto did not get the opportunity to play at the start of League 1 which placed Persib as champions in the middle of the season.
However, this rumor was then answered by the Sporting Director of PT Persib Bandung Bermartabat (PBB), Adhitia Putra Herawan, as quoted from several sources.
He emphasized that Rachmat Irianto, Maung Bandung’s versatile player, will remain part of the Persib team in the second half of the 2024/2025 League One season.
“Irianto reportedly wants to focus on the right back or DMF position. However, until now there has been no definite decision, but it is proven that he is still playing as the main right back. So, it’s safe,” explained Adhit on December 2, 2024.
Adhit said that the player wearing the back number 53 had actually already got a place in the first team, replacing Henhen Herdiana in the right-back position in Persib’s last four matches in League One 2024/2025.
More than that, Adhit also emphasized that Rachmat Irianto is still under contract with Persib Bandung.
In this way, he ensured that Irianto would not leave in the near future, although he did not rule out the possibility that this change could occur in the future.
