DomainJava .COM – Indonesian national team coach Shin Tae-yong wrote a prayer for the new year 2025.
In an upload on his official Instagram account, Shin Tae-yong prayed that the Indonesian national team would qualify for the 2026 World Cup which will be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
“We ask for full support so that Indonesia can qualify for the World Cup,” wrote Shin Tae-yong.
This prayer was said by the coach from South Korea after Indonesia’s step towards the world’s biggest football party felt very close.
In the third round, Indonesia closed 2024 in third place in Group C standings with six points from six matches, 10 points behind unbeaten Japan and Australia with a distance of one point.
This score of six points was obtained from three draws and one win with a score of 2-0 in the last match against Saudi Arabia at the Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta, on 19 November 2024.
The Garuda team has four more matches left to determine its fate in the third round by facing Australia and Bahrain in March, and China and Japan in June.
Shin Tae-yong targets Indonesia to qualify for the 2026 World Cup by finishing third and fourth in the third round to win the remaining tickets in the fourth round.
